SIX SENSES ROME

Six Senses Rome opened is the brand’s first hotel in Italy, bringing its passion points of sustainability and wellness to an urban environment. The design incorporates neoclassicism layered with contemporary Italian art and furnishing.  This is also evident throughout its 96 rooms, with some featuring the iconic Triclinium-style marble seating on their terraces. State-of-the-art in-room technology is subtly incorporated along with the groundbreaking Sleep With Six Senses standards of bespoke homemade and organic mattresses, cotton bedding, pillows, and additional amenities to promote a good night’s sleep. Six Senses Rome has a selection of 12 different types of room, including three individually designed signature suites. The many options include secluded rooms with courtyard views and suites facing the bustling Via del Corso and neighboring San Marcello al Corso Church. While enjoying a prime position in the heart of the city, the sense of calmness and tranquility is still ever present and welcome after a busy day seeing the sights. True to the Eat With Six Senses ethos, food menus foster a strong link with local culinary traditions, whether at the all-day dining BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar or up high on NOTOS Rooftop. Besides the Roman Empire-inspired 5-course tasting menu, dishes include plant-based, meat, fish, and sweet classics with Sicilian touches


COMO LE MONTRACHET

The COMO Group recently announced the newest addition to its global portfolio, COMO Le Montrachet. Situated in the heart of Burgundy, one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions, the hotel is a celebration of French gastronomy, hospitality, and style. To create COMO Le Montrachet, COMO has sensitively reimagined Hotel le Montrachet, a 19th-century ‘place du village’ inn located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy. The hotel is housed across three heritage buildings arranged around a charming village square which lies just steps from the legendary 'Le Montrachet' vineyard. Guests can choose from 30 individual rooms and suites, with a palette inspired by the colors of the Burgundy countryside with custom-designed furnishings specially curated for the hotel. COMO Le Montrachet is an ideal getaway for oenophiles and wine connoisseurs. In addition to Montrachet, one of the most renowned vineyards in the world, four Grand Cru vineyards and seventeen Premier Cru vineyards lie close to the hotel as well as the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard.


SOMMERRO’S VILLA INKOGNITO

Sommerro’s Villa Inkognito officially opened its doors as Oslo’s first-ever urban villa. Following Sommerro’s grand opening in September 2022 as Oslo’s first luxury neighbourhood hotel, the property announced the launch of Villa Inkognito, a private 11-suite retreat located next door. A rare gem offering a mix of luxury and escapism in Oslo’s vibrant West End, Villa Inkognito is unique to Oslo as the only urban villa available to book in its entirety or on an individual room basis. With highlights ranging from thoughtfully designed bedrooms to unmatched personalised service, Villa Inkognito is an elegant oasis meticulously designed to be the ultimate home away from home. Originally built as a private residence in 1870 by architect Thøger Binneballe, Villa Inkognito has taken on many iterations throughout the years. Guests are pampered with a personal host to make their stay as easy and seamless as possible, while enjoying full access to all of Sommerro’s amenities and services, including seven restaurants and bars, meeting and event spaces with capacity for up to 150 people, a 100-seat gilded theatre, a landmark wellness space featuring historic public baths, and the city’s first year-round rooftop pool, sauna, and terrace.


Almanac Palais Vienna  

The Austrian capital welcomed the hotly anticipated Almanac Palais Vienna last month. The boutique property is located on the Ringstrasse, Vienna’s most elegant boulevard, and is set inside a pair of former palais dating to 1871. This the third property from Almanac hospitality group overlooks the Stadtpark, the city’s first public green space, and is walking distance from local landmarks including the Vienna State Opera House and the Museum of Applied Arts (The MAK). Award-winning designer Jaime Beriestain presided over the property’s restoration, transforming the historic palais into an 80-suite, 31-guestroom stay, steeped in Viennese heritage. Highlights include a two-floor, marble-clad wellness sanctuary featuring a 14-meter indoor pool with thermal waters, as well as the plant-forward Alpine restaurant set inside a bright, colorful dining room with a sweeping mural of Vienna’s flora and fauna. Room rates start at 544 EUR per night and suites at 695 EUR per night.  


carlton cannes, a regent hotel

A jewel of the Cote d’Azur revered by cinema stars, creatives, diplomats and presidents for decades has returned to write the next chapter in its centennial history. The iconic Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury & lifestyle portfolio, reopened its doors last month. Known as the ‘Grande Dame’ of Cannes’ hotel scene, the property is one of very few landmarks recognizable from a plane for its majestic, Belle Epoque façade. The two year renovation project gave new life to this historic gem and its 332 rooms and suites - 72 of which offer magnificent sea views. The addition of two striking wings, measuring 20,000 square meters and home to luxury residences, envelop the rear of the property. This has created an enclosed garden landscaped with 22,000 plants and flowers, peristyle alcoves, sleek sunbathing decks, handcrafted cabanas and the largest hotel infinity pool in Cannes.


JW MARRIOTT HOTEL MADRID

JW Marriott unveiled its first property in Spain with the opening of JW Marriott Hotel Madrid. Located in the cultural Canalejas zone, the new hotel sits in the heart of the city, moments away from prestigious art institutions and theaters. The hotel is designed to offer a new standard of luxury that inspires balance and presence in body, mind, and spirit. JW Marriott Hotel Madrid has collaborated with the Spanish Academy of Perfume, paying homage to the building’s unique heritage and the city’s sensuous past, to create a fully holistic wellness experience that stimulates the senses with customized scents.
