Research & Data Analysis

A study of the organization and secondary source material. Whatever information you are willing to share (confidential) on the past, present and future of your organization, combined with a probing analysis of the industry landscape to expand my team’s understanding of the marketplace, trends, best practices, storytelling opportunities and more. Ultimately providing you with actionable intelligence that is then baked into a communications strategy.

Stakeholder Interviews

Going beyond our secondary source research, stakeholder interviews provide invaluable insight. We have productive conversations with internal and external stakeholders that build on our growing understanding of what is important in the brand and marketing area. Often, this is where we find that “big idea” that will supercharge your marketing strategy. Among other things, we discover what the critical motivators are, what goes into the decision-making process, and from where passions arise.

Strategy Mapping

Development of brand ideas and mapping your marketing calendar. Our first “creative” effort is to develop a 12-month strategic plan that uses the big ideas and opportunities gleaned from our research as “marquee” moments, paced evenly throughout the year and preceded by momentum-building, excitement-generating campaign tactics. This effort is iterative, and generally requires taking feedback and working through ideas a few times before a plan is finalized.

Graphic Design

Design of brand icons and brand identity elements. Should your organization be in need of a complete refresh of brand iconography, we can help develop the graphic representations of your brand and story based on the insights that emerge from our research. This includes a study of brand identities of noteworthy competitors (or similar groups in non-competitive geography), after having made a thorough inventory of where and why the brand identity will be used. 

Brand Deployment

Unleashing new creative, the right way. We highly recommend a specific effort to gain internal buy-in - for your people to embrace and adopt the new brand identity before rolling it out. We believe it is important for this to happen prior to external presentation, inviting associates to participate in the final brand selection process. Then there is the application of the fresh brand identity to your website, social platform, business papers like letterhead and business cards, printed collateral, signage, presentation tools, etc.

One-Hour Brainstorm ($500)

When all you need is some fresh thinking from outside the organization. We’ll jump on the phone for one hour to discuss a specific challenge facing your organization, including what you’ve tried so far to address it, and what your ultimate goal is in overcoming it. From there, we go back to the drawing board for you to brainstorm new ways of thinking about and looking at the issue, and within 24 hours will inject new life into your marketing strategy with a list of new ideas for tackling it.
